How-To: Inspect with Dev Tools

Goal: watch any inventory live during PIE and mutate it for testing.

Prerequisites
A running PIE session. The dev tools live in the CrimsonInventoryEditor module and need no project code.

1. Open the Inventory Dev Tools window

Tools -> Crimson Inventory -> Inventory Dev Tools, or the console command Crimson.Inventory.DevTools. The window targets an inventory you pick from the live world and offers nine tabs.

Sections are dock tabs
Every titled section of a tab is a real dock tab: drag one to reorder it, drop it onto another to stack them as tabs, drag it to a window edge to split them side by side, or drag the divider between two to resize. Drag a section out to tear it off into its own window, or right-click it for Dock to Sidebar - sections that are reference-only start in the sidebar. The arrangement is saved per window and comes back after you switch tabs, close the window, or restart the editor. Reset layout (top of the window) restores the default arrangement.
TabShows
ItemsEvery entry: id, item, count, placement, lock flags. Give, remove, drop, and drop-as-bag buttons.
LayoutThe layout class, capacity tags with current / max, and the active constraint objects.
GroupsThe derived layout groups (root and nested bags): depth, activity, occupancy, and a move-into-group helper.
CurrencyLoaded currencies with amounts and add / remove fields.
ContainersWorld container actors with tag, scope, and resolved inventory.
RoutingRouting components, open sessions, personal containers, and the instance subsystem's scoped actors.
MessagesA live log of every Crimson.Inventory.Message.* event the inventory delegates fire.
SaveRound-trip GetSaveData / ApplySaveData on the selected inventory.
CheatsProject-defined buttons from Project Settings -> Crimson -> Crimson Inventory Dev Tools -> Custom Cheats (UCrimsonInventoryDevToolsSettings::CustomCheats).
The Inventory Dev Tools window on the Items tab with a PlayerState inventory selected.
Verify
With PIE running, the Items tab lists the PlayerState inventory, and giving an item from its item picker adds a row immediately.
